Mr.
John Zogby - Keynoter
The evening’s keynote address will be delivered by Mr.
John Zogby, President and CEO of Zogby International, a
world renowned polling research institution. He has been
praised as the "the most accurate pollster" (Seattle
Post- Intelligencer, Cleveland Plain Dealer, USA Today).
Zogby International has been tracking public opinion
since 1984 in North America, Latin America, the Middle
East, Asia, and Europe. Mr. Zogby has been featured and
a guest of news publications all over the world,
including CNN, MSNBC, Fox News, Al Jazeera, BBC, and
more.
Recipients of "Arab
American Professional of the Year" Award
The Arab
American Professionals Network has chosen this year's "Arab
American Professional of the Year" from four industries:
medicine, entrepreneurship, finance, and law. The AAPN
recognizes successful Arab American professionals in the Detroit
area that serve as mentors and role models for young Arab
Americans. Join us at our banquet to congratulate our awardees
and support their continued success. The program for our evening
of "Celebrating Success" is sure to please our guests. We

Marwan Abouljoud, M.D. - Medicine
Marwan S. Abouljoud, M.D., is a Transplant Surgeon at
Henry Ford Health System and Director of the Henry Ford
Transplant Institute, one of the nation’s busiest and
most highly regarded transplant centers. Dr. Abouljoud
was awarded the Benson Ford Chair, Transplantation
Surgery in 1998 and was named Top Doctor of 2005 by HOUR
magazine. He earned his medical degree from the American
University of Beirut. His post- graduate training
included general surgery at the University of Michigan
and Henry Ford Hospital and transplant surgery at the
University of Alabama in Birmingham and Baylor
University Medical Center.
Marvin
Al-Khafaji - Entrepreneurship
Marvin Al-Khafaji is President of Allegiance Home Health
Care, Inc. in Sterling Heights, Michigan. Mr. Al-Khafaji
established the community home health agency in 2002
with gross revenues exceeding 4 million dollars during
the company’s first year. Marvin Al-Khafaji is truly a
young entrepreneur committed to leading the way for
excellence in the home health care industry through
finding innovative ways to elevate the effectiveness and
efficiencies in the delivery of home care services so
that patients and families can experience better quality
care and above the benchmark outcomes.
Amal Berry-Brown - Finance

Amal
Berry-Brown is Vice President of Business Affairs and
National Arab and Chaldean Business Affairs Manager of
Comerica Bank. Mrs. Berry-Brown is responsible for
strategic planning in all of Comerica’s markets, lending
financial support to various community groups and
organizations as well as maintaining and developing
banking relationships within the community. She has more
than 16 years of experience in the financial services
industry and is Comerica’s corporate representative for
the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO),
Greater Detroit Chapter.
Carl
Rashid, Jr. - Law
Carl
Rashid, Jr. is an Attorney and Partner of Butzel Long, a
leading law firm of Detroit with over 215 lawyers and
offices throughout Michigan. Mr. Rashid also serves on
the firm’s Board of Directors as Vice President. The
firm has played a prominent role in the development of
Michigan as an industrial, manufacturing and technology
center since 1854. Mr. Rashid's areas of practice
include real estate, state and local taxes, investment
related tax incentives, condemnation law and government
affairs matters.
Honoree
Hon. David Turfe

Judge David Turfe, District Court Judge of Michigan's
20th District will be honored for his outstanding
accomplishments as an Arab American in the community.
Judge Turfe was Dearborn Heights' first Arab American
District Court Judge.
Emcee
Rose
Khalifa, RN, BSN - Emcee
Ms. Rose Khalifa is the Secretary of the Executive Board of
Directors of the American Arab Chamber of Commerce, Director
of the National American Arab Nurses Association (NAANA),
and Transcultural Nurse for Oakwood Healthcare System. Ms.
Khalifa was the emcee for this important cultural and
historical event.
