Fay Beydoun has, for years, been a devoted community activist, professional, and leader. Currently Fay serves as the executive director of the American Arab Chamber of Commerce, an organization committed to empowering the Arab-American business community ranging from small business to multinational corporations and executive professionals.
Ms. Beydoun has also served as the Vice President of the American Middle East Economic Affairs Committee/ U.S. Arab Economic Forum that was founded upon the mutual desire to enhance bilateral relations. The forum provide a unique opportunity to engage high-level corporate leaders, heads of state, ministers, politicians, academicians, media and concerned citizens from the United States and Arab World to facilitate economic collaboration, cultural dialogue, and innovation.
In 2002, Fay Beydoun became executive director of the newly established Michigan Office of the Arab American Institute. She mobilized the Arab-American community to become active in the political process; developed policy initiatives that are fair and equitable for Arab Americans and protect civil liberties; recommended legislation to enhance U.S.-Arab relations; and informed the American public about Arab-American contributions to civic life, government service, the economy, and education.
Over the years, Fay has mobilized and directed thousands of volunteers for various causes, 650 volunteers with the Arab American Institute for local, state and presidential campaigns. With the American Middle East Economic Affairs Committee and its initiatives, she has coordinated panels of speakers with conflicting views on economic, political and social issues present in the Middle East. She has also fervently served as legislative liaison and lobbyist directing the implementation of advocacy programs.
