Fred Eaton

Fred Eaton is Government Affairs Manager for Comcast, responsible for maintaining relationships with local governments in Wayne, Washtenaw, Livingston, and Monroe counties, as well as the western part of Oakland County.  A native of suburban Chicago, he holds a BS in Communications from the University of Illinois.  He spent 20 years as a newspaper reporter and editor in Illinois and Michigan before joining the district staff of Congressman John Dingell.  He joined Comcast in 1996.

Eaton and his wife Mary Ward-Eaton live in Van Buren Township, and are parents of Virginia Gourlay, an attorney practicing in Macomb County.  In addition to his service on the AACC board of directors, Eaton is also a director of the Dearborn Chamber of Commerce, the Southern Wayne County Chamber of Commerce, and The Guidance Center.

Eaton is an avid reader of history and current affairs, and enjoys recreational running when his knees will let him and walking when they won’t.
