
Mohamad (Mo) Makki
Mohamad (Mo) Makki is the owner and operator of many gas stations and submarine shops in the metro Detroit area. His entrepreneurial career started in 1992 after he purchased his first gas station in Madison Heights, Michigan. Over the years up to the present, Mr. Makki has built his business portfolio with the purchase of three more gas stations, two restaurants, and commercial property as far as Lansing, Michigan. The businesses and properties he either built or acquired were run down and had to be bought to profitability in a very short time. His business acumen and get-it-done attitude were the leading factors in making these projects successful. Mr. Makki is always looking to diversify and adapt to economic conditions. Recently, he has started Supply Line International. Supply Line will provide products and services to Africa and the Middle East.
Mr. Makki was recognized by ExxonMobil with a Top Producer Award of Excellence for four consecutive years. His leadership skills were recognized when he was selected to serve on the local and regional chapters of the ExxonMobil Dealer Advisory Council.
Mr. Makki obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Wayne State University in 1989 while working full-time at Northwest Airlines as a customer service agent. He is a past commissioner for the City of Dearborn Heights and currently serves on the executive board of the American Arab Chamber of Commerce. He is valued member of Arab Community Center for Economic and Social Services (ACCESS), and of the Arab American National Museum. Mr. Makki is married to his wonderful wife Kathy and is blessed with four beautiful daughters.
