The goal of the Advocacy and Public Policy Committee of American Arab Chamber of Commerce is to keep Chamber members and the American Arab business community informed about policies that affect them and to direct them to take actions that lead to economic development. The committee monitors and addresses legislative and public policy issues at the local, state and federal levels of government as they relate to the interests of the American Arab business and economic development, and to draft and recommend to the Board of positions on such issues to be adopted and promulgated to appropriate government officials, the membership and the public. The committee also cultivates and strengthens relationships and understanding between the Chamber’s memberships and elected and appointed officials across all levels of government by hosting various initiatives and programs.
