The International Business Development committee has the goal of serving the chamber's members by creating an awareness of international issues providing opportunities for its members to connect with other businesses and organizations through briefings, events and other special programs. With a large number of Chamber member businesses directly connected in the Middle East, the Chamber realized the importance of sponsoring a variety of programs that build bridges and opportunities between the two regions.  With referral services and promotions, the Chamber also provides interested members with information about foreign companies as well as those that trade globally.  The Chamber promotes members to international companies seeking business partnerships, as well as foreign chambers of commerce and trade delegations.

• Create programs to educate businesses about international issues that may affect commerce and opportunities abroad.
• Establish partnerships with local organizations to promote Michigan as global business center and destination.
