Community Need
In spite of the large presence of Arab Americans in the Metro
Detroit Area, many communities continue to remain an underserved
and untapped source of goods and services by outside businesses
who are unable to cross the cultural divide, despite their
willingness to. These companies and organizations wishing to
reach into Arab and Chaldean communities would benefit from some
introduction into the culture, normative behaviors, and values
in order to provide them with goods and services.
AACC’s Program
AACC's diversity training is
unique in that it is designed specifically for businesses who
are hoping to integrate Arab Americans into their company as
customers, employees, and as part of the larger community.
The program concentrates on how organizations can use cultural
knowledge to become better corporate citizens and in turn
experience loyalty and patronage from the large Arab American
community in the area.
Our program is entirely client
driven and material is adapted for each session based on
client's needs. Along with general cultural information
the program covers ethnic marketing and advertising, customer
service, greeting etiquette, food practices, economic buying
trends, and proactive measures to encourage Muslim employees and
customers. AACC can accommodate groups ranging from 5 to
200 and the program is beneficial to managers, public relations,
human resources, marketing, and sales associates.
AACC Session Highlights
• Company specific focus group conducted before your session
with Arab Americans to gauge perception of your company within
in the community
• Culturally relevant advertising and marketing strategies
• Examples of successful advertising campaigns in the Tri-County
area
• Discussion of proactive measures to encourage Arab American
customers as well as employees
• Guidelines for accommodating Muslim employees

Most sessions will be held at the Arab American National Museum
and will include a tour of the museum and a catered lunch of
Arab cuisine. Other venues can be used depending on individual
company needs as well as group size. All participants will
receive a packet of information to take home covering topics
such as Arab American demographics, Arab American economic
trends and buying power, and advertising examples.
Please contact The Chamber at (313) 945-1700 if your company is
